During April 7th-9th, I had the opportunity to attend the FBLA State Leadership Conference for 2025
What is FBLA?
FBLA or Future Business Leaders of America is the largest business Career and Technical Student Organization in the world. It’s a national organization that helps students from middle school, all the way up to the college level, develop leadership, business and career skills. Especially for those who are interested in business entrepreneurship.
Their Pledge?
I solemnly promise to support the mission of Future Business Leaders of America, abide by its Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct, and develop the qualities necessary to become a community-minded business leader.
For this blog, I will be talking about my experience there and what I got to do.
When we first got there it was actually pretty busy to say the least, there were so many people there and it was amazing to see. My teammate (Ashish) and I along with other DCTS students found a small lounge where we spent most of our time, practicing and having snacks.
Overall, this experience was truly amazing for me because I never realized just how many people attend and actively participate in FBLA. My favorite part was seeing everyone interact with one another, even if they were from different schools or chapters. It was inspiring to witness so many students come together, share ideas, and support each other. Even during the workshops, participants were very engaged and enthusiastic—it really seemed like everyone was enjoying themselves and getting a lot out of the experience.
During the awards ceremony, it was amazing to see so many of my classmates go up on stage and hear their names called. Even though I wasn’t one of them, it still felt great knowing that DC Tech was being recognized for our hard work and dedication. It was also a pleasure having our director, Mr. Civitello, there to support us and cheer us on—it meant a lot to have his encouragement during such a memorable moment.
